Cloud Native Computer Foundation and Linux Foundation Training and Certification today announced the new Certified Argo Project Associate (CAPA) certification. Argo Project, an open-source, container-native workflow engine for orchestrating parallel jobs on Kubernetes, is an increasingly in-demand skill set as the world expands its embrace of cloud native computing.
“Argo is the third largest project under CNCF and as GitOps continues to gain momentum, this certification will be increasingly beneficial for anyone looking to officially demonstrate their understanding of declarative, GitOps continuous delivery,” said Chris Aniszczyk, CTO, CNCF.
Those who earn the CAPA certification will demonstrate to current and prospective employers they can navigate the Argo Project ecosystem including:
- When and why to use each tool
- Understanding the fundamentals around each tool set
- Explaining when to use which tool and why
- Integrating each tool with other tools
Designed for DevOps engineers, platform engineers, CI/CD practitioners, software engineers and data scientists, the CAPA certification exam’s domains are:
- Argo Workflows: 36%
- Argo CD: 34%
- Argo Rollouts: 18%
- Argo Events: 12%
The certification exam is currently in development. Interested IT professionals can sign up to be notified when the exam is generally available here.
The CAPA certification was built in collaboration with Akuity, the company founded by the creators of the Argo Project.
