Co-chairs: Sebastian Stadil + TBD
OpenTofu Day is the single most concentrated event focused on networking and learning from OpenTofu contributors and community members. Discuss the roadmap, share pet peeves, and trade DevOps war stories among colleagues and peers alike. Open source projects live and die by the strength of their communities, so this is the best event to make things happen.
Who will get the most out of attending OpenTofu Day Europe?
Senior developers looking towards technical leadership roles will get the most out of this event, since it takes technical leadership to transition an organization from Terraform to OpenTofu.
What is new and different this year?
This is the first year since Terraform was forked to create OpenTofu, so everything is new! But it will be especially interesting to hear from project leaders and power users.
What will the day be like?
OpenTofu Day is a tightly packed eight sessions that aims to accelerate community adoption and project velocity by sharing learnings, gathering feedback, and forming real connections between everyone.
Should I do a bit of homework first?
To get the most out of the day, we encourage developers to have upgraded some 1.5.x workspaces to OpenTofu 1.6 or later, so they can report on their experience. Having a list of improvements to discuss with the devs would be helpful too.
Any surprises happening?
We’re making an effort to have family-friendly and useful – if less conventional – swag, such as baby/toddler onesies and socks.
