The schedule for the CNCF Maintainer Summit on 31 March 2025 in London is now live.
The CNCF Maintainer Summit happens on the Monday before KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2025, and is an exclusive event for the people behind our projects to gather face-to-face, collaborate, and celebrate the projects that make “Cloud Native.” This one day in person event will be focused on sharing best practices, diving into contributing processes, and solving common problems across projects to enrich our great community of maintainers.
What makes the Maintainer Summit so special? For the first time in Europe, the CNCF is dedicating resources across all Sandbox, Incubating, and Graduated projects to harness an already strong culture of collaboration and create an opportunity for maintainers to work together face-to-face, across the ecosystem, on shared challenges and features. The wider cloud native ecosystem will see the benefits of our maintainers working together to bring about the seamless adoption of CNCF projects. It’s also an event exclusively for maintainers and contributors to solve hard problems for themselves and improve upon their continued work in the open source community.
Attendance at the CNCF Maintainer Summit is limited to Sandbox Project Maintainers, Incubating Project Org Members, Graduated Project Org Members, CNCF TOC Members, and CNCF TAG Chairs, Technical Leads and Working Group Leads. Also, you will need to have registered for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2025. This event is exclusively for our CNCF maintainer and contributor community.
What to expect
Start the Maintainer Summit off with a keynote introduction to the Technical Oversight Committee, then choose from several tracks: CI/CD/Distribution, Growing Contributors, Kubernetes, Open Submission, or see whether you’d like to get involved in Project Meetings, an Unconference session, and Workshops.
We’re excited to see representation from several projects already: Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, Fluentd, Istio, Karmada, and more. Will you be there to represent your project?
