Foundation DB Summit: Day 0 KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America

FoundationDB gives you the power of ACID transactions in a distributed database.

Join the FoundationDB Summit, is a technical conference organized by and for the FoundationDB community, as a Day 0 event at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon San Diego.

This year will mark the second FoundationDB Summit and we plan on creating a two-track event. The first track is aimed at attendees that may be new to the community and want to cover architectural overviews. This track will also cover sessions on how people are using FoundationDB to directly enable new business opportunities. The second track is for those in the community that may already be familiar with FoundationDB and want to dive deeper into the technical details on features, challenges, and tooling other community members have been working on.

Thinking in Kubernetes (K8s)
Chris Cooney

When I was first introduced to Kubernetes, it was a “Container Orchestration Platform” at the edge of my professional radar. Kubernetes was an odd word — it didn’t roll well in the anglophone mouth.

When I became involved with the platform, I realised there was something to it. The level of automation it brought to the table was unlike anything I’d seen before. The doors it opened couldn’t be closed. I had to learn more.
