Upbound recently launched Universal Crossplane (UXP), the first enterprise distribution of Crossplane. Accompanying the announcement was the CNCF’s intent to launch of the Crossplane conformance program, which encompasses both distribution and provider certification. This is the latest step in the project’s rapid growth and will enable more organizations to adopt its control plane model with confidence. On this livestream we will explore what is required to become a conformant distribution or provider, what organizations are already pursuing these goals, and how UXP enables users to easily upgrade from upstream Crossplane to a production-ready distribution backed by the creators of the project.
