The ICA exam primarily tests a user’s understanding of core Istio concepts, not necessarily advanced administration tasks. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate competence in using Istio in cloud-native environments.
The ICA validates understanding of:
- Core Istio concepts such as service meshes, traffic routing, monitoring, telemetry, and observability.
